The Long Good Apprentice is a short video that takes audio from the introduction to the UK series of the Apprentice, and lays it over video clips from the film ‘The Long Good Friday’. My thinking was that the two lead ‘characters’ were both ruthless businessmen, and shared (some) personality traits.
The video proved to be succesful when released in 2007. It was featured by The Metro newspaper’s ‘Blog On’ section, and in 2010 it made a top 10 list of the best YouTube Apprentice videos on thepoke.co.uk. Sophie Kain, a contestant on series 3 of The Apprentice still has the video featured on her personal website.
