
Walkman is back! The sequel to my 2008 university project sees our intrepid, extraterrestrial hero under attack from a toy tank, against which his sound-wave shooting abilities appear useless. Walkman must use the environment to his advantage to evade and overcome his most dangerous foe yet.

Produced over the course of 2010, Walkman 2 aims to showcase my development as a 3D artist since finishing University. The animation was developed in 3D Studio Max along with two key plugins; Rayfire, and FumeFX. Exported in 720p, and clocking in just shy of 6 minutes, the project required careful time-management and effective use of ‘final gathering’ lighting techniques to ensure that less time would be spent rendering.
